The Boardman High School varsity swim teams have won three in a row after getting off to a slow start at the beginning of the season. In the team victories over Perry on Friday night the Spartans won all six relays and had four double winners in individual events. Coach Terry O’Halloran made these comments about the wins. “We had a big Friday night crowd at YSU for our first home meet against Perry and that energized our swimmers. We knew it would be a very close on the boy’s side. We took the lead by 4 points after the 100 Breaststroke and sealed the victory with a season best time and first place in the 400 Freestyle relay. Tyler Calpin took the lead on the first leg of the relay and David Zaitzew, Ethan Schwendeman, and Aaron DunLany extended the lead.
