The Boardman High School Swim and Dive Team prides itself on the volunteer work that the athletes do each year around the holidays. The “BTUB” (Boardman Team Unity Building) groups come up with community service projects to help people in need. This year, our BTUB groups are lead by our three senior girl captains: Noura Azeem, Jessica Hilk, and Jordyn Markovitch.
Azeems group, pictured below, took the time to volunteer at a soup kitchen on Sunday, December 15th at St. John’s Episcopalian Church in Youngstown. Feeding the hungry and giving hope to the less fortunate was something Azeem’s group wanted to do.
Hilk and Markovitch’s group, pictured below, decided to donate to local student’s in our district for the holidays. Working with Mrs. Kanal at BHS, these group members decided they wanted to help families in need this holiday season. Their donations have been collected all week.
