Boardman Swim Team Defeats Massillon, Perry, and Canfield in Quad Meet

Girl’s Team Scores: Boardman 186, Canfield 162, Perry 131, Massillon 61

The Boardman Girl’s Swim Team defeated Perry, Massillon, and Canfield in a quadrangular meet at YSU’s Beeghly Natatorium Tuesday night before a packed crowd. Leading the charge for the Spartans included double event winners freshman Alexis Mihok in the 200 free (2:04.59) and in the 100 back (1:03.81) and senior Alyssa DiNapoli in the 50 free (26.10) and the 100 free (57.18).

Single event winners included Madison Ricciuti, who has been dominating this season on the 1 meter boards.

The Boardman Girl’s record stands at 6-1 as they prepare for their AAC Conference Championship meet this weekend at Warren G. Harding High
School.

Boy’s Team Scores: Boardman 235, Perry 115, Canfield 73, Massillon 55

The Boardman Boy’s Swim Team continued their undefeated run by sweeping every event and defeating Perry, Massillon and Canfield in a quadrangular swim meet at YSU’s Beeghly Natatorium.

Double event winners include senior River Flatley in the 50 Free (22.79) and the 100 Back (57.01), Noah Basista in the 100 Fly (53.27) and the 100 Breast (1:01.88).

Individual event winners include senior Matthew DunLany in the 200 Free (1:51.09), junior Teddy Anzevino in the 1 meter diving (249.23), junior Siman Mascola in the 200 IM (2:11.42), freshman Ethan DunLany in the 500 Free (5:10.27), and senior Will Linker in the 100 Free (49.32).

The Spartans won each of the three relays including the 200 Medley Relay (River Flatley, Noah Basista, Matthew DunLany, Will Linker), the 200 Free Relay (River Flatley, Carter Cailor, Jordan Stackpole, Siman Mascola), and the 400 Free Relay (Will Linker, Jordan Stackpole, Matthew DunLany, Noah Basista).

The Spartan’s record now stands at 7-0 for the year and are preparing for the All American Conference Championships held this Saturday at Warren G Harding High School.
