Boardman & Fitch rivalry adds another chapter

Girls Team Scores: Boardman 132, Fitch 53

On a cold winter night at Beeghly Natatorium, the Lady Spartans heated up the pool by winning 10 out of 12 events vs the Fitch Falcons. The Spartan girls won this contest 132-53. Their next meet will be this Thursday vs Akron Firestone. Their record now stands at 7-2.

Double event winners include: Alyssa DiNapoli in the 200 Freestyle (2:12.61) and the 100 Back (1:05.16), Hayley Ho in the 200 IM (2:32.51) and 100 Breast (1:13.76). 

Single event winners include: Madison Ricciuti 1 meter diving, Alison Kuras in the 100 Free (58.22), and Ava Velasquez in the 500 Free (6:22.62).

The Spartans swept all three relay events: The 200 Medley Relay of Ella Huston, Hayley Ho, Sarah Varga, and Jennah Markovitch (2:01,12), 200 Free Relay of Hayley Ho, Ava Velasquez, Madison Kelso, and Jennah Markovitch (1:52.82), and the 400 Free Relay of Jennah Markovitch, Alyssa Dinapoli, Sarah Varga, and Alison Kuras (4:01.51).

Boys Team Scores: Boardman 138, Fitch 30

The Boardman Boys kept the heat on as they swept all 12 events vs the Austintown Fitch Falcons. The Boardman boys remain undefeated going into a Thursday night showdown with Akron Firestone at Beeghly Natatorium. Boardman boys record stands at 9-0.

Double event winners for the Spartans include: Matthew DunLany 50 Free (22.65) and the 100 Free (50.41), and Noah Basista 200 Free (1:51.99) and the 500 Free (5:02.75).

Single event winners include: Teddy Anzevino in the 1 Meter Diving, River Flatley 200 IM (2:08.32), Will Linker in the 100 Fly (57.40), Jordan Stackpole in the 100 Back (1:01.94), and Siman Mascola in the 100 Breast (1:10.08).

The Boardman boys swept all three relay events: The 200 Medley winners include Matthew DunLany, Noah Basista, Mason Rassega, and Siman Mascola (1:43.47), the 200 Free Relay Team of Justin Yocum, Ben Henderson, Siman Mascola, and Mason Rassega (1:38.13), and the 400 Free Relay team of Mason Rassega, River Flatley, Jordan Stackpole, and Matthew DunLany (3:25.87).
