Boardman Boys place 1st and Girls place 4th at the NEAC Relay Meet

On Saturday afternoon, the Northeast Aquatic Conference hosted its annual relay meet at Warren G. Harding High School. “This is a conference meet where all 8 teams compete in different relay events only,” stated Coach Carlo Cordon. “Our girls were coming off a big win from Friday night versus Massillon Jackson and swam a good meet on Saturday. Firestone and Wooster were very strong and pulled ahead with their depth and placed 1st and 2nd in the meet. We have some work to do, and our goal is to have ours girls ready to compete for the NEAC Conference Championships in January.”

The Boardman Boys put on a dominating display of teamwork and won 6 out of the 10 relay events.

The Spartans started the meet in record setting a new relay mark in the 200 medley relay. The old mark of 1:42.48 was set back in 2000 by the Warren Harding team of A. Roshetsky, K. Divicenezo, J.Roshetsky, and O. Parson. The relay team of River Flatley, Noah Basista, Matthew DunLany, and Wil Linker lowered the new mark to 1:40.43. Other relay winners include the 200 butterfly relay of Justin Yocum, Caleb Satterfield, Carter Cailor, and Siman Mascola, the 400 IM relay of Siman Mascola, Caleb Sattefield, Carter Cailor, and Matthew DunLany, the 200 breaststroke relay of Jordan Stackpole, Caleb Satterfield, Siman Mascola, Noah Basista, the 400 free relay of Matthew DunLany, River Flatley, Jordan Stackpole, and Noah Basista, and the diving relay of Teddy Anzevino and Caleb Austin.

The Spartans are preparing for their annual Christmas Invitational Meet held at CT Branin Natatorium on Saturday the 21st.
